Outback Steakhouse Queensland Chicken and Shrimp

Outback Steakhouse Queensland Chicken and Shrimp combines pan-seared chicken breasts and sautéed shrimp served over linguine pasta. The dish features a spiced cream sauce made by reducing cream, milk, butter, and poultry spices, enriched with white wine and garlic powder for depth. The sauce offers a smooth, slightly thickened coating that complements both the pasta and protein, delivering a harmonious blend of flavors reminiscent of restaurant style cooking at home.

Description

This recipe replicates the Queensland Chicken and Shrimp dish with tender chicken breasts cooked in white wine and a blend of spices, paired with sautéed shrimp. Linguine pasta is cooked al dente as a base for the proteins. The cream sauce is prepared by combining milk, cream, butter, and poultry seasoning, then thickened through reduction in a pan to develop a rich texture.

The spiced cream sauce is infused with cayenne, white pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, creating layers of subtle heat and savory notes. Serving the chicken and shrimp atop linguine helps meld the elements together with the creamy sauce draped over all components. The wine adds brightness that enhances the dish's complexity.

As a complete meal, it balances protein, starch, and sauce. Cooking the chicken and shrimp separately ensures each is properly done without overcooking. This recipe suits those comfortable with stove-top cooking aiming to mirror a restaurant favorite.
