Instructions

  1. Heat up the oil in a pan set over medium to high heat until it's really hot.
  2. If the pork steaks have fat around the edges, try to remove as much as you can.
  3. Add the steak to the pan, working in batches not to overcrowd the pan.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, and sear on each side for 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from the pan and transfer to an oven-proof dish.
  6. Drizzle the Worcestershire sauce over, and season with more black pepper if needed.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (400 Fahrenheit) for 10-12 minutes until tender.
  8. Remove the steaks from the oven and allow them to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • If you do not wish to sear the steaks before baking, that's absolutely fine. However, the cooking time in the oven will be increased to 20-25 minutes.
  • Alternatively, if you want to cook the steaks on the cooker only, decrease the heat to a medium, so that the steaks don't brown too quickly. Leave them to cook on each side for 8-10 minutes.
  • You can also cook the steaks in the air fryer - once seared, they will only need 8-10 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius, or 15 minutes without searing.
