Juicy Oven Baked Pork Steaks with a hint of rosemary and Worcestershire sauce, a fantastic dinner recipe that is ready in well under 25 minutes. Ingredients
- 4 pork steaks
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ teaspoon coarse salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 small rosemary sprigs
Instructions
- Heat up the oil in a pan set over medium to high heat until it's really hot.
- If the pork steaks have fat around the edges, try to remove as much as you can.
- Add the steak to the pan, working in batches not to overcrowd the pan.
- Season with salt and pepper, and sear on each side for 2 minutes.
- Remove from the pan and transfer to an oven-proof dish.
- Drizzle the Worcestershire sauce over, and season with more black pepper if needed.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (400 Fahrenheit) for 10-12 minutes until tender.
- Remove the steaks from the oven and allow them to rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- If you do not wish to sear the steaks before baking, that's absolutely fine. However, the cooking time in the oven will be increased to 20-25 minutes.
- Alternatively, if you want to cook the steaks on the cooker only, decrease the heat to a medium, so that the steaks don't brown too quickly. Leave them to cook on each side for 8-10 minutes.
- You can also cook the steaks in the air fryer - once seared, they will only need 8-10 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius, or 15 minutes without searing.
