Parmesan Halibut

Parmesan Halibut is a baked fish dish featuring halibut fillets coated with a garlic-infused mayonnaise mixture and topped with grated Parmesan cheese. The high-heat bake and brief broil create a golden, slightly crisp crust while keeping the fish moist and tender inside, accented with fresh parsley and lemon.

Description

The recipe starts by blending mayonnaise with parmesan cheese and minced garlic to form a creamy topping. Skin-on halibut pieces are seasoned simply with salt and freshly cracked black pepper and placed skin side down in a prepared baking dish. The mayonnaise mixture is brushed evenly on all sides, then sprinkled with additional parmesan cheese.

Baking at a high temperature cooks the fish through quickly, and a short broil at the end browns the parmesan topping nicely, creating a golden crust. The method ensures the fish remains moist beneath a flavorful, savory coating with garlic and cheese notes. The fresh parsley garnish adds a bright herbal contrast, and lemon wedges provide acidity to balance richness.

This dish serves as a straightforward, elegant main suitable for a dinner paired with vegetables, rice, or salads. The lemon wedges enhance the flavor and offer a fresh finish.
