PB&J Smoothie (Jamba Juice Copycat)

The PB&J Smoothie combines natural peanut butter, frozen banana, strawberries, raspberries, and a date blended with water or almond milk for a creamy, fruity drink. It captures the classic peanut butter and jelly flavor in a refreshing, smooth texture, offering a nutrient-dense beverage with a subtle sweetness and berry tang.

Description

This PB&J Smoothie uses peanut butter and a blend of frozen fruits—banana, strawberries, and raspberries—along with a Medjool date for natural sweetness. The liquid base of water or almond milk allows control over thickness and dilutes slightly while providing a creamy consistency. A pinch of sea salt balances flavors, especially if the peanut butter is unsalted.

The ingredients are blended until very smooth, creating a thick yet drinkable smoothie that resembles the flavor profile of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The frozen fruits contribute a cold, refreshing quality and natural sweetness, while the peanut butter adds richness and protein. It's best served immediately for optimal texture and freshness.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 cup water or almond milk
  • 1 dates pitted, Medjool, soft
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter natural
  • 1 banana frozen
  • 1 cup strawberry about 8 whole strawberries, frozen
  • 1/4 cup raspberries frozen
  • sea salt pinch

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the water or milk, date, peanut butter, banana, strawberries, and raspberries. Add a pinch of salt, if using unsalted peanut butter.
  2. Blend until very smooth, stopping to scrape the blender if needed. You can add more liquid if your blender struggles to process the mixture, but added liquid will dilute the flavor slightly, so use as little extra as possible. Serve right away and enjoy!
