Peanut Butter Banana Baked Oatmeal
Description
Peanut Butter Banana Baked Oatmeal combines old fashioned oats with baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, which are mixed with mashed ripe bananas and creamy peanut butter for moisture and flavor. Honey, an egg, almond milk, and vanilla extract complete the wet ingredients, binding the mixture together. The batter is poured into a greased 8x8-inch pan and baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 23-25 minutes until set and lightly golden on the edges. The oatmeal springs back when pressed, indicating doneness.
The dish offers a creamy texture from the peanut butter and banana, balanced with the chew of oats and subtle warm spices. It's filling and wholesome, suitable for individual square portions. Optional toppings such as additional banana slices, peanut butter, or honey can enhance flavor and presentation. The baked oatmeal is best served warm but can be refrigerated and reheated.
