Peanut Butter & Blueberry Panna Cotta (No Sugar)
Description
This panna cotta recipe starts by dissolving gelatin sheets in cold water. Heated heavy cream is combined with the softened gelatin, then removed from heat and sweetened gently with honey before peanut butter is whisked in until smooth. The mixture is poured into glasses and topped with fresh blueberries before chilling for at least three hours to set.
The dessert has a smooth, creamy texture with subtle peanut butter richness. Blueberries provide a slightly tart element balancing the honey's sweetness. It is suggested to serve plain or with a blueberry purée or jam for extra fruit flavor, though plain allows the peanut butter essence to stand out.
Ingredients
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 1.5 tbsp peanut butter
- 30 g blueberries
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3.5 g gelatin sheet
For garnish, you can make a blueberry puree or use blueberry jam.
Instructions
- Soak the gelatin in cold water.
- Heat up the heavy cream, making sure not to boil it. When it has warmed up, add the gelatin sheets and allow to dissolve. Take off the heat and add the honey and peanut butter. Whisk until the mixture has a smooth consistency and then pour into 2 glasses. Place the blueberries on top and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- To serve, add some blueberry purée or a spoonful of jam. Though I prefer it plain, which allows the peanut butter flavor to shine through.
