Pear Sauce
Description
This recipe starts by simmering peeled, cored, and diced Bartlett pears with water, sugar, fresh lemon juice, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until the fruit softens thoroughly. The resulting softened mixture is then blended to a smooth, creamy consistency using an immersion blender or regular blender. The pear sauce can be enjoyed warm or chilled.
The sauce balances the natural sweetness of pears with subtle spices and a hint of lemon’s brightness. The simmering melds flavors while softening the fruit to create an easy-to-eat texture. Cinnamon and vanilla add warmth and depth without overpowering the pear’s natural flavor.
This pear sauce can be served as a side dish, a snack accompaniment, or used as a fruit spread. It stores well refrigerated in an airtight container for up to a week, making it convenient for advance preparation or leftover use.
Ingredients
- 5 bartlett pears peeled, cored, and diced
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice fresh

- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
