Surprise the kids with Pink Waffles for breakfast! These pink velvet waffles are delicious and we love to top them with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Ingredients
For the Waffles:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup butter melted and cooled
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pink food coloring
For the Glaze:
- 4 oz softened cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp milk

Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and cocoa powder. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the eggs, buttermilk, butter and vanilla on low speed until combined. Add in 5-7 drops of pink food coloring until the mixture is pink.
- Then pour the buttermilk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Some lumps are ok. Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes.
- Preheat a waffle iron and spray it with a non-stick cooking spray.
- Add the batter to the waffle iron and cook according to the waffle iron’s instructions.
- While the waffles are cooking, beat together the glaze ingredients with a hand held or stand up mixture until blended and combined.
- Serve the pink waffles with the glaze drizzled on top and enjoy!
Notes
- Refrigerate the leftover waffles in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
