Pumpkin Bread

This Pumpkin Bread combines pumpkin puree with warm spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger for a moist, tender loaf with a subtly spiced flavor. The mixture of oil, eggs, and water helps maintain a soft crumb, while baking soda offers proper rise. It's a straightforward bread baked in a single loaf pan, ideal for a seasonally flavored breakfast or snack option during cooler months.

Description

Pumpkin Bread uses 8 ounces of pumpkin puree blended with eggs, vegetable oil, and water to create a moist base. The dry ingredients include flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and a blend of warm spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and a pinch of ginger, which provide a balanced autumnal flavor. The batter is mixed until just combined to keep the bread tender and avoid overworking gluten.

Baked in a greased loaf pan at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 to 55 minutes, the bread develops a golden crust while remaining moist inside. The recipe advises cooling the loaf briefly before removing it from the pan to maintain its shape. This pumpkin bread can be sliced and served plain or with butter, making it suitable for breakfast, tea time, or a light dessert.
