Quick and Easy Chinese Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs chinese cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic 
  • 4 dried red chilies de-seeded and chopped
  • 2 teaspoons cooking wine
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or more if needed
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar or stevia if you are on a Keto diet
  • 1-2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
  • 2 scallions chopped
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a wok over high heat, add the oil. Once hot, add the garlic and chili, reduce the heat to medium, and stir-fry for a minute. Do not let the garlic burn.
  2. Add the cabbage, wine, soy sauce, sugar, and water.
  3. Increase the heat to high, cover the wok and let the cabbage cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Uncover the wok and stir in the vinegar, scallions, and salt to taste. The cabbage should be wilted, but still slightly crunchy and caramelized. Serve hot and enjoy!
