- 1 red onion
- 3 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt

- Place the onion, vinegar, water, sugar and salt in a pan and bring to the boil.
- Take off the heat and allow to cool.
