Red Wine Sangria Recipe
Description
The sangria recipe starts by combining the wine with blood orange liqueur and cachaça, which add layers of citrus and tropical notes. Adding orange, cherry, and lime juices balances sweetness and acidity. The fresh fruit, including watermelon balls and berries, infuse additional flavors and provide visual appeal. Slicing and adding mandarin and lime slices enhance the citrus profile. The mixture is refrigerated for at least two hours, allowing the alcohol and fruit flavors to blend and mellow.
Serving the sangria cold and garnished with basil leaves offers a herbaceous accent that brightens the drink. It makes an inviting option for warm weather gatherings or casual entertaining, providing a balance of sweetness, acidity, and fruitiness.
