Roasted Green Beans with Bacon and Onion

  • 1 lb green beans, ends trimmed
  • ½ small onion, sliced
  • 2-3 slices of bacon, cut into tiny bits
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, sliced thin
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. 
  2. Toss the green beans with the onion and bacon pieces with olive oil; season with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste. 
  3. Place into the oven to roast for 10 minutes; stir with a spatula then continue to roast for another 7-10 minutes, or until the green beans and onion are tender and the bacon bits are crispy.
  4. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy.
