Salsa De Aguacate (Avocado Salsa)

Salsa De Aguacate combines tomatillos, jalapeños, serrano peppers, onion, garlic, cilantro, and ripe avocado into a smooth, creamy salsa. The blend of fresh peppers and tomatillos gives brightness and mildly spicy heat balanced by the richness of avocado. This salsa offers a refreshing texture with a slight kick and is seasoned to taste with salt and black pepper.

Description

The Salsa De Aguacate recipe starts by blending tomatillos and two types of chili peppers, jalapeños and serranos, along with onion and garlic to form a fresh base. Cilantro is added for herbal notes before the creamy avocado is pureed in to create a smooth, green salsa. Salt and black pepper are used to season the resulting puree, enhancing the flavors.

The salsa has a combination of tart brightness from the tomatillos and a layered warmth from the peppers, tempered by the buttery texture of avocado, which also thickens the sauce. It is an excellent condiment for grilled meats, tacos, or as a dip.

This salsa stores well refrigerated for about four to five days, keeping its fresh flavor and texture. It's best enjoyed cold or at room temperature to maintain its bright characteristics.
