Sausage Rolls
Description
This Sausage Rolls recipe uses a pound of pork sausage combined with kosher salt, coarse black pepper, and paprika for mild seasoning. The mixture is spooned onto thawed puff pastry sheets, then rolled closed and cut into bite-sized pieces. Brushing the rolls with egg white before baking enhances the pastry's browning and crispness.
Baked at 350°F, the sausage rolls develop a golden, flaky crust surrounding juicy, well-seasoned meat. The paprika adds a subtle smoky note without overpowering the pork, while the puff pastry provides a tender yet crisp exterior.
These sausage rolls make convenient snacks or party appetizers that can be served warm or at room temperature. Their simple seasoning lets the pork's natural flavor shine through, while the flaky pastry adds texture contrast that complements the rich filling.
