Scallion Pancake Dipping Sauce
Description
The dipping sauce comes in two variations. Judy's version combines minced garlic, scallions, water, light soy sauce, rice vinegar, oyster sauce, chili sauce, and sesame oil to create a balanced sauce with salty, tangy, and spicy notes that complement the scallion pancakes' texture and flavor.
Kaitlin's version is simpler and sweeter, mixing hoisin sauce, water, light soy sauce, and a hint of sesame oil. This offers a milder, more aromatic profile suitable for those preferring less acidity and heat.
The preparation is straightforward: all ingredients are mixed together and served alongside warm scallion pancakes, enhancing the eating experience with contrasting tastes and smooth dipping texture.
