Shrimp Tacos
Description
The recipe starts with jumbo shrimp coated in oil, garlic, and seasoning salt. The shrimp cook quickly with a slightly charred exterior, achieved in an air fryer or skillet. Meanwhile, a slaw made from thinly sliced green or red cabbage, red onion, jalapeño, fresh lime juice, and cilantro is chilled, providing a crisp, fresh counterpoint to the warm shrimp.
Preparing a drizzle sauce from mayonnaise (or sour cream/Greek yogurt), lime juice, garlic, and hot sauce adds a creamy, spicy element. Warm corn tortillas are lightly charred for a smokey flavor and pliability.
To serve, the slaw, shrimp, and spicy drizzle are layered in each tortilla and garnished with extra cilantro, creating a balanced taco of textures and flavors suitable for a light meal or casual gathering.
