Instructions
- Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and allow it to melt. Place onion in the butter and saute until soft, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add corn to the skillet, seasoning with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook for 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally until heated through.
- Cut cream cheese into small pieces. Add cream cheese and honey to the skillet and stir until melted and creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Then serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- We used canned corn in this recipe because that's what we had on hand. You can use fresh corn easily in this recipe, just cut it from the cob. You can also use frozen corn, just make sure the corn is hot and any water is cooked off before adding the cream cheese. 16 ounces of frozen corn equals about 3 cups.
- If you're unsure, start with a tablespoon of honey and taste the sweetness level. You can always add more, or serve with honey at the table for everyone's individual tastes.
- You can swap bourin cheese or laughing cow cheese for the cream cheese. Laughing cow cheese you'll need about 6 wedges, as each wedge is about 1/2 an ounce.
