Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Dip
Description
The recipe combines cooked, chopped chicken with softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, buffalo wing sauce, and most of the shredded cheddar cheese in a slow cooker. After stirring, it is cooked on low heat for two to three hours until the ingredients are fully melted and integrated.
Once cooked, additional cheddar cheese is sprinkled on top and melted, adding a sharp, cheesy crust. The dip is kept warm on a 'keep warm' setting for serving convenience. It offers a creamy texture with a spicy kick characteristic of buffalo wing sauce, balanced by the coolness of ranch dressing.
This dip pairs well with chips, celery sticks, and carrot sticks for dipping. The recipe includes a note to use kitchen timers linked to the cooking times for convenience and accuracy.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast , cooked and chopped
- 16 ounces cream cheese , softened
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 3/4 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
