Instructions
- Place the ribs in your crock pot.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar, onion powder, garlic salt, and paprika over the ribs.
- Combine the peach preserves, honey, and BBQ sauce in a medium bowl.
- Pour the sauce over the ribs.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Optional: Put the cooked ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet and baste with some of the sauce from the slow cooker. Place the ribs under the broiler for about 5 minutes until lightly browned.
- Garnish with parsley and serve over mashed potatoes or rice with the sweet, rich sauce spooned on top.
Notes
- I prefer not to cook these country ribs on high. This cut of meat benefits from a long cooking time.
- Use a crock pot liner to make cleanup quick and easy.
- Broiling the ribs after slow cooking is optional, but it will give them extra caramelization and flavor.
- Use a large crockpot so there is room for all the ribs in a single layer. I recommend at least a 5-quart model for this recipe. If you have a smaller crockpot, reduce the amount of ribs you cook to 2 pounds.
