- 1 medium red onion
- 2 oranges
- 6 garlic cloves
- 2 Tsp mixed herbs
- 1 Tsp mixed spice
- 2 Tsp mustard powder
- 1 Tbsp peppercorns
Kitchen Gadgets:
- Crockpot Slow Cooker
Instructions
- Peel and dice your onion and one of your oranges. Peel your garlic cloves.
- Load into the slow cooker your onion, orange chunks, garlic cloves and peppercorns.
- Remove all visible fat from your gammon and then rub the dried seasonings into the gammon.
- Load the gammon into the slow cooker, slice the orange and use cocktail sticks to attach the orange to the gammon and for it to stay in place as it cooks.
- Pour into the slow cooker your diet fanta and then place the lid on the slow cooker. Slow cook for 4 hours on high or 7 hours on low.
- Remove the orange slices and the cocktail sticks, allow to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Pulled. If you would like pulled gammon for sandwiches instead. Then simply add an extra hour to the cook time. Juice. If you don’t like fanta you can swap it for orange juice instead.
