  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 ounce envelope ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix .87 ounces
  • 1 small onion diced
  • ½ cup Sliced Pepperoncini
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce in a medium bowl.
  2. Form into four equal patties and place down the bottom of your slow cooker.
  3. Combine the beef stock, brown gravy, and ranch mix in a small mixing bowl.
  4. Pour the mixture over the steaks in the slow cooker.
  5. Place a pat of butter on the top of each steak.
  6. Add the onions and pepperoncini.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.

  • Using lean ground beef (90/10 or 93/7) can help prevent your sauce from becoming too greasy.
  • If you're sensitive to spice, feel free to reduce the amount of pepperoncini in the recipe or omit them altogether.
  • Ground turkey is a great lean protein option you can substitute for ground beef.
