Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar packed
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoon butter melted
- 1 teaspoon maple extract
Maple Glaze for Donuts
- 1 teaspoon maple extract or vanilla extract will work in a pinch
- ¼ cup whole milk
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar

Instructions
- -oven and smoker temp and times are the same-
- Preheat the smoker to 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Get out and measure all of your ingredients.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, and baking soda.
- Stir until blended.
- In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and maple extract.
- Whisk is incorporated.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients in one large mixing bowl.
- Whisk until smooth.
- Transfer mix into a piping bag, or a resealable bag with the corner cut off.
- Pipe the batter into the donut molds.
- There is enough batter for 24 donuts.
- Place directly onto the grill grates.
- Close the lid.
- Cook for 25 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, combine whole milk and vanilla paste. Heat for 3 minutes over high heat.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the powdered sugar.
- Whisk until smooth.
- Dip the donuts into the glaze then place onto a wire rack lined baking sheet.
- Allow glaze to harden, about 10 minutes. Try taking a bite!
- Enjoy every moment.
- Serve.
- Store in an airtight container.
Notes
- If you are baking these Maple Glazed Donuts instead of smoking them, bake them for 17 - 22 minutes or until they are done all the way through.
