Smoked Salmon Dip

Smoked Salmon Dip blends smoked salmon with softened cream cheese and Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, fresh herbs like dill and chive, red onion, lemon juice, and capers for garnish. This creamy dip has a balanced smoky, tangy, and herbaceous flavor, ready for serving with crackers or fresh vegetables.

Description

This dip starts by combining smoked salmon, softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt or sour cream, and mayonnaise in a food processor. The mixture is pulsed until the salmon is finely chopped and the ingredients combine smoothly, careful not to overprocess to preserve texture. Finely chopped red onion, fresh dill, chives, and lemon juice add layers of brightness and herbal notes. Capers garnished on top provide sharp, briny contrast.

The resulting dip is creamy and sustaining, with a pleasant smokiness from the salmon balanced by the creaminess of the dairy and the freshness of herbs and citrus. It pairs well with simple accompaniments like crackers and fresh vegetables for dipping.

Leftovers should be kept refrigerated in an airtight container and stirred before serving again to refresh the texture. The dip is best consumed within a few days to maintain flavor and freshness.
