Soup Maker Parsnip Soup

This Soup Maker Parsnip Soup blends diced parsnips, garlic, vegetable stock, and seasonings cooked and pureed in a soup maker until smooth. Milk and optional cheese are stirred in at the end for creaminess and to adjust thickness. The soup offers a gentle parsnip flavor with mild seasoning and a silky texture. It is a straightforward recipe suited for using a dedicated soup maker appliance.

Description

Soup Maker Parsnip Soup begins by slicing and cleaning medium parsnips, which are combined with vegetable stock, garlic cloves, salt, and black pepper inside a soup maker. The appliance cooks and purees the ingredients into a smooth soup over approximately 28-30 minutes depending on the model.

After cooking, skimmed milk is stirred into the soup to adjust the consistency and cool it slightly. Grated cheese is an optional addition that enriches the flavor and texture, but omitting it keeps the soup lower in calories. Parsley can be added for a touch of herby freshness.

This soup provides a subtly sweet, earthy taste characteristic of parsnips with a creamy finish from milk and cheese if used. The soup maker simplifies preparation by combining cooking and blending in one step, ideal for straightforward, hands-off soup preparation.

Variations can include different cheese types to change flavor profile, and the milk addition last allows control over soup thickness. The recipe suitably matches common soup maker cook times, such as 28 minutes for Morphy Richards or 30 minutes for Ninja Foodi models.
