Southwest Salad Dressing

Report
This Southwest Salad Dressing blends plain yogurt with a mix of chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, and lime juice, yielding a tangy, creamy, and subtly spiced dressing. Honey adds a gentle sweetness while cilantro provides a fresh note. Adjusting the water lets you control the thickness to suit your preference.

Description

Southwest Salad Dressing combines Greek or plain yogurt as a creamy base with southwestern spices like chili powder, paprika, cumin, and garlic powder to give it a balanced savory and slightly smoky character. Fresh lime juice adds brightness, while honey counters the spices with a touch of sweetness. The stirring together of ingredients and addition of water allows you to adjust the consistency from thick to pourable.

The dressing suits salads that benefit from a creamy and mildly spiced topping and can complement fresh greens or grilled vegetables. The finely chopped cilantro gives a subtle herbal lift without overwhelming.

This dressing can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days. For a variation, you can substitute mayonnaise for yogurt to change the texture and richness, or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to intensify the heat.
