Spicy Black Bean Burgers with Avocado Cilantro Sauce

These Spicy Black Bean Burgers use seasoned veggie patties grilled or cooked as preferred, served on toasted buns with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion. The creamy avocado cilantro sauce adds a fresh, tangy complement with hints of jalapeño heat and garlic, rounding out the flavors. The combination balances savory, spicy, and fresh elements for a satisfying plant-based sandwich.

Description

This recipe brings together pre-made spicy black bean veggie patties cooked on the grill or by alternative methods, paired with a creamy avocado cilantro sauce made by blending avocado, fresh cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, sour cream, lime juice, olive oil, and seasonings. The sauce provides a cooling, bright contrast to the seasoned patties.

Assembling the burger with toasted buns and layers of crisp lettuce, sliced tomato, and onion adds fresh texture and flavor. The jalapeño in the sauce adds mild heat, balanced by the richness of avocado and sour cream. Quick preparation and the use of pre-formed patties make this burger an accessible plant-based option.

The burgers can be cooked on the grill, in the oven, microwave, or skillet according to package directions. Toasting the buns enhances texture and flavor. Add extra sauce as desired for creaminess or a flavor boost.
