Spicy Honey Vegetable Kabobs

Spicy Honey Vegetable Kabobs offer a grilled medley of mushrooms, red bell pepper, red onion, Brussels sprouts, and corn, all brushed with a sweet and spicy honey-based basting sauce. The vegetables are threaded onto soaked skewers, cooked over indirect heat, basted and finished on direct heat to develop a charred, flavorful exterior with tender vegetables inside.

Description

The recipe for Spicy Honey Vegetable Kabobs highlights fresh vegetables including cremini mushrooms, red bell pepper chunks, red onion, whole trimmed Brussels sprouts, and corn segments. These are skewered, often with soaked wooden skewers to prevent burning, and cooked on a grill initially over indirect heat.

The basting sauce blends vegetable oil, garlic powder, white pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, fine sea salt, honey, and apple cider vinegar for a balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors. The kabobs are basted with this sauce and cooked slowly, then moved to direct heat to develop a charred, caramelized finish, with a final basting to enrich flavor.

Serving these kabobs immediately preserves their charred texture and the fresh vegetable flavors, making them an appealing option for grilled vegetable dishes and gatherings.
