Stick of Butter Rice is a delicious side dish recipe that is made with only 4 ingredients. This rice is easy to make and will soon be a family favorite recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 stick 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 packet 1 ounce onion soup mix
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and water. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan with a tight-fitting lid. Simmer the rice for 18-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it stand, covered, for an additional 5 minutes to allow the rice to steam and fluff up.
- While the rice is cooking, cut the stick of butter into small cubes.
- After the rice has finished steaming, uncover the saucepan and add the cubed butter and onion soup mix to the hot rice.
- Using a fork, gently stir and fluff the rice, allowing the butter to melt and the onion soup mix to distribute evenly throughout the rice.
- Once the butter is fully melted and the rice is well mixed, taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Notes
- I recommend using long grain rice for its fluffiness and non-stickiness. It will absorb the flavors better.
