Strawberries and Cream Smoothie
Description
The Strawberries and Cream Smoothie is made by blending strawberries with milk or cream and sweetener to taste until smooth. Using frozen strawberries can eliminate the need for ice, providing a chilled and thick texture. The recipe encourages adjustments to liquid quantity for preferred thickness and creaminess, allowing customization.
The resulting smoothie has a fresh strawberry flavor balanced with the richness of milk or cream and sweetness according to personal preference. It serves best fresh but can be frozen and thawed later without significant changes in texture or taste.
Ingredients
- 1 to 1 ½ cups strawberry big handful, fresh may be used although ice may be necessary, frozen
- ¼ cup milk use your favorite milk or vegan milk, i.e. coconut milk cream, soy cream, etc, or cream
- sweetenter to taste (sugar, stevia, agave, etc.)
Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Depending on how many strawberries you used, their size, your blender, and your desired smoothie thickness and consistency, you may need more than 1/4 cup cream (I used about 1/2 cup), or add a splash of water, to reach desired consistency.
- Serve immediately. Leftover portion may be stored in the freezer for later consumption for up to 2 months. The smoothie does not change consistency and taste is not effected upon thawing.
