Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie

Report
The Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie blends frozen strawberries, almond milk, vanilla protein powder, and strawberry shortcake flavored granola butter into a creamy, fruity beverage. Its texture is smooth with a subtle crunch from the granola butter if used as topping. This smoothie offers a sweet and satisfying flavor that resembles the dessert it's named after.

Description

This recipe combines frozen strawberries, almond milk, vanilla protein powder, and a strawberry shortcake-flavored granola butter in a high-speed blender until smooth. The blend yields a creamy and slightly thick smoothie that captures the essence of strawberry shortcake flavors in a drinkable form. The granola butter adds sweetness and a hint of crunch when used as a topping.

The smoothie has a refreshing strawberry taste balanced with the nutty and sweet notes from the granola butter and vanilla protein powder. The almond milk produces a light, non-dairy base that complements the fruit and protein.

The smoothie can be topped with extra granola butter or other toppings for texture and visual appeal. It makes a nutritious snack or breakfast option that is convenient and can be adjusted in thickness for drinking or eating as a bowl.

For a thicker smoothie bowl, reduce almond milk and add ice if using fresh strawberries. For a kid-friendly version, substitute the protein powder with plain or strawberry Greek yogurt.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 cup strawberry frozen
  • ¾ cup almond milk
  • 1 coop protein powder I used CleanSimpleEats, vanilla
  • 2 tbsp granola butter Oat Haus brand, strawberry shortcake flavor

Instructions

  1. Simply combine all of the ingredients in your high speed blender and blend until smooth throughout (about 45-60 seconds).
  2. Top with more Granola Butter and/or additional toppings of choice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust almond milk quantity to achieve desired thickness: less for a smoothie bowl, more to drink easily through a straw.
  • If using fresh strawberries, add about 1 cup of ice to the blender to chill and thicken the smoothie.
  • To make this recipe suitable for children, substitute protein powder with plain or strawberry Greek yogurt.
