Sweet Chilli Salmon
Description
Sweet Chilli Salmon highlights the combination of salmon fillets coated in a mixture of sweet chilli sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, and garlic, baked to tender, flaky perfection. The glaze, applied before baking, caramelizes slightly under the heat, imparting a sweet and savory layer. After baking, the reserved sauce is simmered and thickened to a syrupy consistency and drizzled over the salmon, enhancing the rich flavor and presenting a glossy finish. A sprinkle of fresh coriander adds herbal freshness to the dish.
The baking method allows the salmon to cook evenly and retain moisture, resulting in delicate, flaky flesh. The blend of ingredients in the sauce creates a balance between sweetness, acidity, and umami, complementing the natural richness of the fish. This dish can be served immediately to retain the freshness of the salmon and the vibrancy of the sauce.
This salmon adaptation offers a distinctive combination of sweet and tangy flavors paired with garlic’s pungency, making it suitable for meals where a vibrant, bold fish dish is desired. The recipe’s step of simmering and thickening the reserved sauce ensures the final presentation is visually appealing and flavorful.
