Taco Tater Tot Casserole

Taco Tater Tot Casserole layers seasoned ground beef spiced with taco seasoning beneath a golden crust of seasoned tater tots and melted cheddar cheese. It combines savory ground meat with crispy potato tots, topped with melted cheese creating a warm and hearty casserole ideal for casual dinners or family meals.

Description

This casserole starts by browning ground beef and cooking it with water and taco seasoning until the liquid reduces, concentrating the flavors. The meat mixture forms the base layer in a baking dish. Tater tots are tossed in vegetable oil and sprinkled with extra taco seasoning before arranging them on top in neat rows. A generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese is added between the meat and tater tots, which crisp and brown in the oven during baking at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 40-45 minutes.

The result is a casserole with a moist, flavorful beef base capped by crispy, seasoned tater tots and melted cheese, adding texture contrast and richness. It serves well as a comforting main dish and can be accompanied by simple sides or salad for balance.
