Tex Mex Dip Recipe

This Tex Mex Dip layers refried beans, black beans, taco-seasoned sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, fresh diced tomatoes, avocado, black olives, and cilantro on a cookie sheet. The dip combines creamy, savory, and tangy elements perfect for serving warm with tortilla chips at gatherings or casual meals.

Description

The recipe creates a multi-layered dip starting with a base of refried beans topped by rinsed black beans. A sour cream mixture seasoned with taco seasoning spreads next, followed by a thick layer of cheddar cheese. Fresh diced tomatoes, avocado slices, sliced black olives, and chopped cilantro add color, freshness, and texture.

This dip is assembled on a cookie sheet for easy serving and is complemented perfectly by crunchy tortilla chips. Its combination of creamy beans, sharp cheese, and fresh toppings provides contrasting flavors and textures. The lime juice gives a hint of brightness that ties the layers together.
