The Best Clam Dip Recipe EVER
Description
This clam dip recipe starts by mashing cream cheese until creamy, then gradually blends in clam juice to smooth the texture. Minced clams and finely chopped green onions add flavor and texture, while lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce contribute a balanced tartness and depth. A few dashes of Tabasco provide gentle heat that can be adjusted for taste. The dip is typically served chilled alongside potato chips or crackers, offering a savory seafood spread with a creamy, lightly tangy finish.
The texture can be thinned to preference by adding clam juice incrementally. The dip can be refrigerated for up to two days to allow flavors to meld, making it a convenient make-ahead option for gatherings or casual snacks.
Ingredients
- 1 8- ounce cream cheese at room temperature, package
- 1 6.5- ounce minced clams drained and juice reserved, canned
- 2 green onions , white and green parts, finely chopped
- ½ lemon , juiced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Tabasco sauce to taste
Instructions
- In a medium sized bowl, mash softened cream cheese with a fork until soft and creamy. Slowly add in 1 tablespoon of clam juice while mixing with fork and cream well. Add lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.
