Three Cheese Broccoli Soup

Three Cheese Broccoli Soup combines tender broccoli florets with a rich blend of cheddar, havarti, and swiss cheeses for a creamy, comforting dish. The soup’s base is a flavorful mix of butter, flour, and seasonings, thickened with chicken broth and milk, then finished with whipping cream and subtle spices including garlic powder, nutmeg, and white pepper. The inclusion of Worcestershire and hot pepper sauce adds a gentle depth to the creamy texture and mild cheese flavors.

Description

Three Cheese Broccoli Soup features a smooth and creamy broth made by melting butter and whisking in flour and spices as a roux before slowly adding chicken broth and milk to achieve a velvety consistency. The soup is enriched with three distinct cheeses – sharp cheddar, creamy havarti, and nutty swiss – which melt together with warm cream to create a balanced, layered flavor. Broccoli florets are simmered until tender but still bright, lending a slight crunch and fresh vegetable note. The seasoning blend of garlic powder, nutmeg, white pepper, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce subtly enhances the taste without overpowering the cheeses. This soup is hearty and satisfying, best served warm as a starter or light meal during cooler weather.
