Veg Sandwich with Mayonnaise
Description
The recipe mixes shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and sliced cucumber with mayonnaise, seasonings including salt, black pepper, and mixed herbs, plus a small amount of ketchup for subtle acidity and sweetness. This mixture is spread onto half of a trimmed and diagonally sliced white bread piece, then covered with the other half to create a neat sandwich.
The result is a creamy and crisp vegetable sandwich with balanced flavors. Removing excess water from the vegetables before mixing helps avoid sogginess and maintains the bread's texture. The sandwich is simple and can be served as a quick snack or light meal.
Using fresh vegetables and squeezing out moisture reduces sandwich sogginess, preserving its texture. Trimming corners and cutting diagonally makes the sandwich visually appealing and easier to handle.
