Vegan Big Mac Sauce (No Mayo!)

This Vegan Big Mac Sauce replicates the classic burger condiment without mayonnaise by using soaked cashew nuts as the creamy base. Blended with apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, spices, and tangy pickle relish, the sauce delivers a smooth texture and savory tang that complements plant-based burgers and sandwiches.

Description

The Vegan Big Mac Sauce (No Mayo!) relies on soaked raw cashew nuts blended with water for a creamy consistency without traditional mayo. Apple cider vinegar and Dijon mustard add acidity and depth, while spices like onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika provide savory warmth. The final addition of pickle relish contributes texture and a sweet-tangy crunch. Blending until smooth and adding relish last ensures a balanced thick sauce. This sauce offers a dairy-free alternative to traditional burger sauces, suitable for coating vegan patties or as a spread in sandwiches.

The preparation involves soaking cashews for several hours or using a quick soak with hot water to soften them for blending. Adjusting water amount controls thickness. The sauce stores well refrigerated for several days in a sealed container. It’s practical for making ahead and enjoying with a variety of plant-based dishes that benefit from a creamy, tangy accent.
