Vitamix Hot Chocolate
Description
The Vitamix Hot Chocolate combines whole milk with semisweet chocolate chips, instant espresso powder, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Blending the ingredients on high for several minutes warms and thoroughly mixes them, producing a velvety-smooth hot chocolate with a gentle caffeine kick and aromatic spices. The coffee element deepens the chocolate flavor without overpowering it.
Serving with whipped cream and an extra cinnamon sprinkle enhances the drink’s creaminess and aroma. This preparation method results in a rich, cozy beverage suitable for cold days or when craving a comforting chocolate drink.
If instant espresso powder is unavailable, instant coffee can be used as a substitute without greatly changing the final flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk whole
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Whipped Cream for topping
Instructions
- Add milk, chocolate chips, espresso powder, vanilla extract, and cinnamon to your Vitamix or another high powered blender.
- Blend on high for 4 minutes until the hot chocolate is totally combined and steaming hot.
- If desired, top with whipped cream and an extra dash of cinnamon.
Notes
- Instant coffee can replace instant espresso powder if unavailable, yielding a similar flavor profile.
