Watermelon Fruit Salad

Watermelon Fruit Salad combines watermelon cubes with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, and fresh mint, all brightened by lemon zest and juice. The fruit is lightly coated with a honey-lemon dressing and chilled before serving, resulting in a refreshing mix of sweet and citrus flavors with juicy, crisp textures. This salad is a natural choice for warm days or as a light, fruity side dish.

Description

Watermelon Fruit Salad features ripe watermelon chopped into bite-sized cubes mixed with a variety of berries and cherries. Fresh mint adds a herbal note, while lemon zest and juice introduce a lively citrus brightness. A drizzle of honey rounds out the acidity, bringing balanced sweetness to the salad.

After combining the fruit and herbs, the dressing of lemon juice and honey is whisked and poured over, then gently tossed to coat for even flavor. Chilling the salad for at least an hour lets the flavors meld and the fruit chill thoroughly, enhancing its refreshing qualities.

This salad serves well as a cooling snack, a complement to grilled meats, or a light dessert. The mix of textures from the watermelon’s crisp juiciness to the soft berries gives a pleasant mouthfeel.

Leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to four days, although the fresh fruit is best enjoyed sooner to maintain its texture and flavor.
