Instructions
- Get out and measure all of your ingredients.
- Slice each banana into approximately 5 or 6 chunks.
- Beat together egg and milk until well combined, set aside.
- On a large plate, combine crumbs, sugar and cinnamon.
- Spread the mixture around until full blended. Set aside.
- Cover each banana chunk with flour. Dip each chunk into the egg mixture. Bananas should be fully covered but not dripping.
- Coat in crumb mixture until fully covered.
- Pile on platter to cook.
- Place each fritter in an air fryer. Make sure they do not touch. Cook at 250 degrees for 10 minutes, flipping at midway point. I usually carefully shake the basket until adjusted.
- When cooking time is complete, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
- Serve warm with chocolate sauce, caramel, honey, cool whip or whipped cream. Enjoy every bite!
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for a sweeter, more flavorful taste that eliminates the need for sugar. Just be careful not to use overripe bananas, as they can be too soft and difficult to handle.
- Always preheat your air fryer to ensure a crisp exterior and tender interior.
- Cut your bananas into even-sized pieces to ensure they cook at the same rate.
- Coat the banana slices evenly with egg wash and breadcrumbs for a uniform coating.
- Place the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket with space between them to allow for proper air circulation.
- Flip the banana fritters to ensure even browning on both sides.
- Timing can vary depending on the air fryer model and thickness of the banana slices so keep an eye on your first batch so they don't burn.
