Air Fryer Cheesecake

This Air Fryer Cheesecake uses a crust of melted butter mixed with crushed Oreo cookies pressed into a springform pan, topped with a smooth cream cheese filling blended with sugar, sour cream, vanilla, eggs, and more Oreos for texture. Cooked gently in the air fryer at controlled temperatures, it achieves a creamy, firm center with a slightly cookie-flavored crust. Decorated with white chocolate chunks and mini Oreos, it provides a rich dessert option suited for smaller gatherings.

Description

The cheesecake crust is made by melting butter in a silicone pan using the air fryer, then mixing with finely crushed Oreo cookies and pressing into a springform pan to form a firm base. The filling combines Philadelphia cream cheese and granulated sugar whipped until smooth, with sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs added gradually to maintain a creamy batter. Additional crushed Oreos folded in create pockets of cookie flavor inside the creamy filling.

After pouring the filling over the crust, the cheesecake is air fried at a lower temperature (160°C/320°F) for 30 minutes, with an internal temperature check to ensure doneness. Following cooking, it rests in the air fryer to settle, resulting in a dense yet smooth texture. The cheesecake is finished by decorating with white chocolate chunks and mini Oreos for added style and flavor.

This method is suitable for smaller cheesecakes due to air fryer size constraints. Adjustments may be needed depending on your appliance. The recipe offers an innovative take using the air fryer for a classic dessert.

Ingredients

Servings

For the cheesecake filling

  • 700 g cream cheese Philadelphia brand
  • 250 g granulated sugar
  • 3 Tbsp sour cream
  • 2 Tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 egg large
  • 100 g Oreo cookies

For the decorating

  • 75 g white chocolate chunks
  • 3 mini Oreos snack bags

Instructions

  1. Start by placing the butter in medium chunks into a silicone pan that fits your air fryer. Air fry at 120c/250f for about 4 minutes to melt the butter. Transfer the butter to a mixing bowl and add in crushed Oreos and mix well with a fork. Spoon the mixture into a springform pan pressing it down for a level crust.
  2. Next add to a bowl the cream cheese and the granulated sugar and mix well with a electric hand mixer until creamy and smooth. Add in the sour cream and vanilla and continue mixing, then gradually add in the eggs and mix until you have a creamy, smooth batter. Using a wooden spoon stir in the oreos breaking some bits up and then keeping a few bigger chunks.
  3. Pour the cheesecake batter over the cheesecake crust and then place the springform pan into the air fryer basket.
  4. Air fry cheesecake at 160c/320f for 30 minutes, then do an internal temperature test to make sure it has reached 70c/160f or above. Then close the air fryer drawer and let it sit for 30 minutes and then it can use the hot air fry from the air fryer to keep it cooking. Finally, remove it from the air fryer, place on the worktop to fully cool, before placing it in the fridge overnight.
  5. The next day, the air fryer cheesecake is ready for decorating. Place into a silicone container 2/3 of the chocolate chunks and air fry at 120c/250f for 3 minutes to melt the chocolate. Then either use a piping bag or a spoon to create decorative lines across the top of the cheesecake. Then finish the decorating with some mini Oreos and the remaining white chocolate chunks.

Notes

  • For dual-drawer air fryers, making smaller 4 or 6 inch cheesecakes is recommended to fit the basket better.
  • Air fryer models vary; adjust cooking times and temperatures as needed to ensure cheesecake is fully cooked.
  • Use an internal temperature test (70°C/160°F) to confirm cheesecake doneness for best texture.
