Ingredients
- 2 pounds medium-sized carrots - approx. 1 kg
- 2 tablespoon unsalted melted butter
- 1½ tbsp honey
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoon chopped herbs (optional) to garnish
- ½ small lemon (optional)
Instructions
- Peel the carrots (optional) for a more even texture and better presentation, or rinse and pat them dry to remove dirt.
- Cut the carrots diagonally into ½″ (1.25 cm) thick pieces. Try to cut them evenly to ensure even cooking.
- Place the carrots in a large bowl, add melted butter, honey, salt, and pepper.Toss so the carrots are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Transfer the carrots in a single layer to the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and cook for 9 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket 1-2 times during cooking, to ensure the carrots cook evenly.
- Once done, transfer to a bowl, drizzle with lemon juice, and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm.
