Asian Grilled Chicken Tenders
Description
This recipe begins by slicing chicken breasts into thin tenders and marinating them in a mixture containing ginger paste, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and optional sriracha or red pepper flakes for heat. Allowing the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours) ensures the flavors penetrate well and helps tenderize the meat.
Grilling the chicken on a medium-high oiled grill or griddle pan cooks the tenders quickly, creating slight charring that enhances texture and flavor. Alternatively, air frying at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes with a flip halfway gives a tender, evenly cooked result without additional oil.
The finished chicken tenders retain juiciness with a balance of sweet honey and savory soy sauce underlined by ginger’s warmth. They can be served warm over rice, atop salads, or accompanied by steamed vegetables. Garnishing with extra pepper flakes adds a touch of heat to taste.
Marinate in a sealed bag for easier coating and even flavor distribution. Slice chicken evenly to avoid overcooking smaller pieces. Store cooked leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days, convenient for quick meals or lunches.
