Banoffee Pie

Banoffee Pie features a graham cracker crust flavored with cinnamon and ginger, layered with dulce de leche and sliced bananas, topped with freshly whipped cream and shaved chocolate. This no-bake pie combines creamy, fruity, and sweet components in a chilled dessert that has a rich caramel-like flavor from the dulce de leche balanced by the freshness of the bananas and light whipped topping.

Description

The crust is prepared by mixing graham cracker crumbs with sugar, melted unsalted butter, ground cinnamon, and ginger, then pressed into a springform pan and chilled to harden. The dulce de leche is spread evenly over the hardened crust, followed by evenly layered banana slices, which add a fresh, soft texture contrasting the crust and caramel.

Whipped cream sweetened with powdered sugar is prepared until stiff peaks form and gently spread over the bananas to create a light, airy topping. The assembled pie is chilled to set the layers and enhance flavor melding. Just before serving, the pie is garnished with shaved chocolate for added texture and a touch of chocolate flavor.

Banoffee Pie is a rich, chilled dessert ideal for after meals or special occasions, combining sweet, creamy, and fruity elements with gentle spicing in the crust. The preparation involves careful layering and chilling for best texture and flavor balance.
