Best Beef Chili Recipe
Description
The Best Beef Chili Recipe starts by browning ground beef with onions, creating a savory base seasoned simply with salt and pepper. Adding Dr. Pepper soda introduces a hint of sweetness and acidity, which complements the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and chili beans. The seasoning blend including taco seasoning, ancho chili powder, ranch dressing mix, and garlic salt layers in varying spice elements and depth.
The chili is simmered for 20 to 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly for a rich texture. The beans soften and absorb the spices, while the beef retains a tender, crumbly consistency within the thick sauce.
Chili is served with a variety of traditional toppings such as shredded Mexican cheese, sour cream or crema, diced avocado, chopped green onions, cilantro, fresh lime juice, and crunchy tortilla strips. These add contrasts in texture and cool, fresh elements to balance the warm, spiced stew. This dish works well for casual dinners and gatherings, providing a filling and flavorful option.
