Birthday Cake Popcorn Recipe

Birthday Cake Popcorn mixes popped popcorn with melted marshmallows blended with vanilla cake mix and vanilla extract, coating the popcorn in a sweet, cake-like glaze. Sprinkles are an optional colorful addition. This treat can be shaped into balls by hand for easy serving and is a playful twist on traditional popcorn snacks.

Description

This Birthday Cake Popcorn combines 6 cups of popped popcorn with a marshmallow mixture infused with vanilla cake mix and vanilla extract. Marshmallows are melted over low heat until smooth, then cake mix and vanilla are stirred in. Milk is added gradually to create a pourable glaze that coats the popcorn evenly when mixed.

The mixture can be enjoyed as loose popcorn or formed into compact popcorn balls by wetting hands to prevent sticking and shaping the mixture. Sprinkles may be added on top for added color and a festive look. The popcorn offers a sweet, slightly cakey flavor with a chewy marshmallow coating, making it suitable for parties or celebrations.

The method involves warming the marshmallows gently to avoid burning and stirring frequently for a smooth mixture. The recipe offers flexibility on milk amount to adjust glaze consistency.
