Canned Peach Crumble

Canned Peach Crumble offers a sweet and comforting dessert combining soft canned peaches with a golden oat and flour crumble topping. The buttery mixture enriched with vanilla extract creates a crisp textured layer that contrasts with the warm, juicy peaches below. Baking until bubbling and browned enhances the flavors, making it an easy-to-prepare treat.

Description

This Canned Peach Crumble begins by draining canned peaches and placing them in a baking dish as the base. The crumble topping is made by mixing oats, plain flour, vanilla extract, sugar, and melted butter, forming a crumbly texture spread evenly over the peaches. Baking in a moderately hot oven until the topping is golden and bubbling ensures the peaches heat through and juices thicken slightly.

The result is a dessert combining soft, sweet peach pieces with a crisp and buttery cover that adds texture and richness. The vanilla adds aromatic depth, complementing the natural fruit sweetness. Serving the crumble warm with cream, custard, or ice cream adds creaminess and balances the lightly caramelized crust.

This recipe can be adjusted in ingredient quantities to fit serving sizes. While canned peaches simplify preparation and deliver consistent sweetness, the recipe reminds cooks to check different volume measures if needed. It’s a convenient choice for a homely dessert when fresh peaches are unavailable.
