Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 apples
  • 16 strawberries
  • 16 green grapes
  • 1 carton raspberries
  • 16 lices mini salami
  • 8 oz block raw cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz block dill havarti cheese

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the fruit and cheese. Slice both cheeses into small cubes (about ½” - don’t slice them too small as they will break when slid on the skewer.) Wash the strawberries, raspberries, grapes and apples. Pat dry. Core one apple and dice into 16 pieces / cubes.
  2. Before assembling, layer bay leaves around the cake stand (towards the end so the greenery resembles a wreath). Slice the second apple in half and place in the center.
  3. Take a skewer and one piece of each ingredient and layer it on the stick. For efficiency, set up an assembly line of ingredients and go down the line. Rotate where the ingredients (specifically strawberries) are placed so one area of the wreath doesn’t get too crowded.
  4. After assembling each skewer, stick the end into the core of the center apple to ground it. Repeat until the wreath is made.
  5. Garnish with rosemary sprigs, skewers of fresh or sugared cranberries, and cookie cutter star cutouts of extra apple slices if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • This wreath is highly customizable with your favorite charcuterie board ingredients (different cheeses, meats, fruits, bread slices etc.). I suggest steering clear of ingredients that easily crumble or are super soft. For example, you could definitely get a chunk of goat cheese on your skewer, but it’ll likely get pretty messy when attempting to enjoy an individual skewer.

  • If prepping in advance, use opal apples (naturally less prone to browning), leave the apples off until just before serving, or sprinkle the apples with a little lemon juice to help preserve them.
