Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup chopped white onions
- 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 20 ounces frozen corn thawed
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan, add onions and salt over medium heat. Cook onions until they become translucent.
- Add flour and cook for 1 minute or until the mixture becomes fragrant.
- Add milk and stir until the mixture becomes thick.
- Add corn and cheese. Cook and stir until the cheese melts.
- You can serve it straight from the stovetop or you can sprinkle on some additional cheese and heat in the oven until the cheese melts.
